(ANS – Caracas) –<\/strong> DIMISAL (Salesian Missionary Disciples) has begun with the beginning of the liturgical season of Lent. This comprehensive formation programme prepares young people to bring a message of faith and hope to different communities in the country during the coming Holy Week. This year, the programme brought together 1,200 young people from all the Salesian works in the country. The motto guiding this year’s formation is ‘Believers free to serve.’ This theme invites participants to reflect on the freedom that comes from faith and translates into a concrete commitment to serving those most in need, following the charism of St John Bosco. The formation sessions will take place simultaneously in different regions of the country during the weeks of Lent. The DIMISAL programme includes Moments of prayer and spiritual reflection. Formation in community work and pastoral accompaniment. Group activities to strengthen the identity of the missionary disciple. The Salesian presence in Venezuela is felt through this initiative, which aims not only to revitalise the faith of young people, but also to generate a positive impact on the rural and urban communities that will welcome the missionaries.
