{"id":1033931,"date":"2026-04-12T22:00:00","date_gmt":"2026-04-12T22:00:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","slug":"trans-27674-1","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/infoans.news\/en\/trans-27674-1\/","title":{"rendered":"Italy \u2013 Su e Zo sold out: 8,500 participants for Ukraine"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>(ANS &ndash; Venice) &ndash;<\/strong> The traditional <em>Su e Zo per i Ponti di Venezia<\/em> Solidarity Walk took place on Sunday 12 April 2026 with 8,500 participants, rising to over 9,000 if the 330 volunteers and the 200 performers and group leaders from the visiting folk groups are included. Everyone walked through the narrow streets and small squares with a thought for the Salesian works in Ukraine, the focus of the 2026 solidarity project of<em> Su e Zo per i Ponti<\/em>.&nbsp;The 2026 edition of <em>Su e Zo per i Ponti<\/em>, with the slogan &ldquo;Ignite the passion!&rdquo;, also celebrates the event&rsquo;s inclusion in the prestigious programme of the Milan-Cortina 2026 Cultural Olympics, reflecting the link between the sporting spirit of the Olympic Games and the social commitment that has always driven <em>Su e Zo<\/em>. In total, nine schools, having exceeded the threshold of 100 participants, have won the Don Dino Berti School Award, named after the Salesian priest who conceived the event. The amount of the donation to the Salesian works in Ukraine will be determined once the fundraising accounts have been finalised.
