{"id":1034387,"date":"2026-04-21T22:00:00","date_gmt":"2026-04-21T22:00:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","slug":"trans-27769-1","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/infoans.news\/en\/trans-27769-1\/","title":{"rendered":"Argentina \u2013 The Commission for Integral Ecology plans its work for the 2026\u20132028 triennium"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>(ANS &ndash; Buenos Aires) &ndash;<\/strong> The Commission for Integral Ecology (CEI, in Spanish) of the Salesian Province of Southern Argentina (ARS) met in person on 17 and 18 April 2026 at the Provincial House. The meeting, convened by Salesian Brother Agust&iacute;n Camiletti, Delegate for Youth Ministry, and by Elena D&iacute;az Pa&iacute;s, of the San Juan Evangelista House in La Boca and coordinator of the commission, took place with the aim of consolidating the group and defining the commission&rsquo;s areas of focus for the 2026&ndash;2028 period. The agenda for the days featured three field experiences and formation sessions that served to inform reflection and dialogue on updating the Commission&rsquo;s framework. On Saturday 18th, Dr Germ&aacute;n Z&uacute;&ntilde;iga &mdash; a Mapuche lawyer and member of the National Team for Indigenous Pastoral Care &mdash; gave a talk on the history of indigenous peoples and their worldview. He emphasised, amongst other things, that for these communities &ndash; which have existed long before Argentina became a nation &ndash; the environment is an essential part of their lives and must be fully respected. In the presence of the ARS provincial, Fr Manuel Cayo, it was concluded that the CEI must move beyond theoretical reflection to become an active service for the Salesian Houses and the provincial teams. Using a methodology focusd on formation, communication, networking and coordination, a number of priority areas were established, such as youth leadership and spirituality.
