{"id":1034995,"date":"2026-05-03T22:00:00","date_gmt":"2026-05-03T22:00:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","slug":"trans-27895-1","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/infoans.news\/en\/trans-27895-1\/","title":{"rendered":"Italy \u2013 CISI Presidency Meeting in Naples: reflections and prospects for the future of Salesian Italy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The focus of the proceedings was the &ldquo;Reshaping of Salesian Italy&rdquo;, a process of reflection and strategic reorganisation of the mission at the national level in Italy, which has been ongoing since January 2024. The participants analysed future scenarios, discussing the need to optimise central structures and devise a schedule better suited to striking the right balance between the National Centre and the individual provinces.<\/p>\n<p>Together with Fr Luca Barone, attention was given to synergy with the Salesian missionary world. Through dialogue on bodies such as Missioni Don Bosco, the VIS and the Salesian Institute for the Missions, the responsibility and fundamental role of Salesian Italy in supporting the Congregation&rsquo;s projects worldwide were reaffirmed.<\/p>\n<p>There was time to share the 2026\/27 calendar and some notes on next year&rsquo;s CISI organisational chart.<\/p>\n<p>With regard to Formation, discussions addressed the challenges of the prenovitiate and preparation for Perpetual Profession, emphasising the strategic importance of the active involvement of the formation communities at Crocetta and Colle Don Bosco in the service of the Salesian world.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, on the administrative and financial front, preparations began for the biennial conference of the Finance sector scheduled for this coming November (which will include a focus on the Third Sector), and the groundwork was laid for the presentation of the national budget for schools to the CISI Finance sector in July.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting concluded on a positive note with discussions on Social Communication, the Oratories and Parishes sector, as well as the approval of official documents on Salesian Social Animation and works for vulnerable young people, confirming the ongoing commitment to the most vulnerable sections of the youth population.<\/p>\n<p>The welcome from the confreres in Naples was fraternal and meticulously organised in every respect, and the occasion provided an opportunity to thank Fr Erino Leoni, who is concluding his service as coordinator of the Formation
