(ANS – Berlin) –<\/strong> As part of a cultural exchange promoted by the Erasmus programme, from 20 to 23 April 2026, the Manege centre in Berlin was the venue for a special gathering: eight young people aged between 22 and 29 from Madrid visited the facility. Accompanying them were two educators from “Pinardi Boscosocial”, an organisation of the Salesian Province of Spain’s St James the Greater Province (SSM), dedicated to social promotion, education and support for children, adolescents and families in vulnerable situations. On the Berlin side, young people from the activation programme of the Salesian Manege institution  in the Berlin district of Marzahn, took part in the cultural exchange. The initiative forms part of the activities of the European network of Don Bosco’s Salesian works, which connects young people across the globe. The guests from Madrid had prepared diligently to make the meeting with the participants in the activation programme as enriching as possible: together they painted, danced, cooked and, above all, listened. The focus was on the young people’s life stories; despite their different backgrounds and languages, they discovered many similarities and, above all, how quickly the unfamiliar can become familiar when approached with an open mind. Whether it was preparing Spanish tapas, dancing to the rhythm of flamenco or creating together, every day was marked by curiosity and a sense of belonging to a wider community.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
