As a result of this collaboration, Professor Jordi Cruz, a researcher at EUSS, was awarded the &ldquo;Mossos d&rsquo;Esquadra&rdquo; bronze medal in May 2026. This is one of the most prestigious honours bestowed by the police force upon leading figures in the civilian sector. The collaboration with the police began following a previous study by Cruz, which had attracted considerable interest. Over the past two years, the researcher has therefore provided ongoing consultancy to the &ldquo;Mossos d&rsquo;Esquadra&rdquo; forensic chemistry laboratory.
