This Salesian festival showcases short films made by and for young people aged between 15 and 20. The festival evening featured ten short films in competition and was attended by over 120 people. The jury’s evaluation of the short films had already begun at 8 am, to communicate digitally – due to the time difference – with the young participants from Salesian schools in Tahiti. The conversation subsequently involved the other nine teams in the competition, who also took part in various workshops, had the opportunity to get to know one another and prepare for the final, during which they each explained the meanings and styles of their creations. At the end of the evening, all the short films received an award or special mention at a ceremony celebrating art and young people’s commitment.
