Over four days of work, participants engaged in ten sessions of reflection beginning with the lectio divina and focusing on key themes for the Salesian mission. Topics included the guidelines of the Acts of General Council 446 regarding the six‑year term of the Rector Major, Fr Fabio Attard, the new edition of the Ratio, recommendations from the canonical visitations, and plans for the future ACE quasi‑province. Significant attention was also given to artificial intelligence, youth ministry in the Eastern DR Congo, administrative matters, and the provincial handbook. The meeting took place amid difficulties linked to the ongoing conflict in the Eastern region of the country, with the presence of the AFC/M23 movement, as well as the health crisis caused by the Ebola virus in parts of South Kivu.
