The Silver Insignia is among the Federation’s highest honours and is awarded to individuals whose commitment, dedication and spirit of service have made an outstanding contribution to the growth of the Association and the strengthening of the Don Bosco Past Pupils’ movement.<\/p>\n
The first award was presented on Saturday, 21 June, in Pozoblanco to Fr Antonio Rides Romero, current Delegate of the Don Bosco Past Pupils’ Association of Pozoblanco. A week later, on Sunday, 28 June, Fr José Manuel Pozas Murcia, Delegate of both the Regional Federation and the Don Bosco Past Pupils’ Association of Cádiz, received the same distinction during a ceremony held in Cádiz.<\/p>\n
The recognition of Fr Antonio Rides Romero followed a proposal submitted by the Pozoblanco Association, while the nomination of Fr José Manuel Pozas Murcia was put forward by the Federation’s Executive Committee. Both proposals were unanimously approved during the extraordinary session of the Regional Federation held in La Línea de la Concepción on 7 March 2026.<\/p>\n
Through these awards, the Regional Federation wished to express its gratitude for the dedication, closeness and generous availability demonstrated by both Salesians. Their witness of service has played a decisive role in strengthening the Past Pupils’ movement, promoting Don Bosco’s educational values and accompanying generations of Past Pupils in their commitment to the Church, society and the Salesian Family.<\/p>\n
