Warsaw, Poland – January 2026 – At the beginning of December 2025, representatives of the Salesian Missionary Centre in Warsaw visited Ukraine. They visited the Salesians of Don Bosco and the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians who, despite the war, remained with the children and young people to protect them, help them, and build a sense of security. This experience resulted in a documentary, 22 minutes on normality in abnormal times, which tells the story of schools and oratories, the help coming from Poland, and wounded soldiers who have been left disabled and are learning to live again. Thanks to the determination of the Salesians and the FMA, schools and youth centres have become a refuge not only from bombs but also from the trauma of war. And veterans, thanks to rehabilitation through sport – AMP Football – are regaining their dignity, meaning, and community. For many of them, the team has become a new family. Because where there is solidarity, there is hope.
