Krakow, Poland – January 2026 – The Salesian Missionary Volunteers of the Province of Krakow (PLS) and the Salesians, especially the students from the Salesian Interprovincial Studentate in Krakow, participated in the organisation of the 16th edition of the Procession of the Three Kings. As is the case every 6 January, on the feast of the Epiphany, the Three Kings, with three different small processions (blue – African; green, with the Salesian group – Asian; and red – European), traditionally set off from three different points in the city to meet at noon in the main square as one Great Procession and bow down together before the newborn Baby Jesus. The motto of this year’s procession was ‘Rejoice in Hope,’ referring also to the motto of the Holy Year just ended, ‘Pilgrims of Hope.’ Once again, during the Krakow Procession, a fundraiser was held for a housing project for the homeless, carried out by the Opera di Soccorso di San Padre Pio. Two volunteers from the Salesian Missionary Volunteers of Krakow played the roles of two kings: Asian and African, respectively Ernesto Benicio Bumba and Cong Minh Tran. Photo: PLS Facebook
