Szczyrk, Poland – January 2026 – From January 2 to 4, at the Shrine of Our Lady of Szczyrk, belonging to the Salesian Province of Krakow (PLS), a retreat was held for a “good start” to the new year. The young participants enjoyed beautiful moments, surrounded by the silence of the mountains and the winter landscape, in which they were able to pause to take care of their hearts and their faith, finding an encouraging space for reflection and prayer. The retreat was led by Salesian Fr Łukasz Auguściak, psychologist and Director of the Salesian school in Krakow, who combined spiritual reflection with a very realistic look at daily life, emotions, and relationships. There was no shortage of advice on TV series and books, as well as concrete and practical tips to help them better understand themselves and others. It was a time of silence, reflection, and communal prayer. Reinvigorated and inspired, the participants returned to their homes with a new perspective and energy for their future journey.
