Spain – January 2025 – The Assembly of General Pastoral Coordinators of the Salesian Province of St James the Greater, Spain (SSM) met online on the morning of Thursday, 8 January. The Salesians and lay people responsible for guiding Pastoral Animation in the Houses of the SSM Province met to share information and explore some tools that, as Salesian educators, can facilitate the recognition and accompaniment of young people’s mental health. The event was convened by Fr Xabier Camino, Provincial Delegate for Youth Ministry, and was attended by Fr Miguel Ángel García Morcuende, who presented the document “Recognising and accompanying the mental health of young people.” In the second part of the meeting, thanks to the intervention of important speakers, there was a discussion on Youth Centers, Schools, Parishes, and Social Platforms, and various pastoral areas were analyzed, such as Vocational and Missionary Animation, Faith Education, and Educational Sports. The 2026 Vocational Campaign, the documentary map of Salesian Youth Ministry, the document of the 29th General Chapter, and the upcoming CampoBosco in Turin concluded an intense morning of work.
