Kraków, Poland – January 2026 – On 10 January, the ceremony for the installation of the new Salesian Provincial of the “St Hyacinth” Province of Kraków (PLS), Fr Dariusz Bartocha, took place. He received the mandate to lead, animate and govern the Province for the next six years. Fr Roman Jachimowicz, Councillor for the Central and Northern Europe Region, presided over the Holy Mass during which the decree of appointment of the Provincial was read. After making the Profession of Faith and taking the Oath of Fidelity, Fr Bartocha was officially installed as Provincial of PLS in the presence of many Salesians from the Kraków Province and other provinces, clerics, members of the Salesian Family, relatives, benefactors, friends and young people. Following the Eucharist, those present had the opportunity to congratulate the new Provincial and to express heartfelt thanks to the outgoing Provincial, Fr Marcin Kaznowski, for the valuable service he rendered during his term of office.
