Italy – The Lay Groups Fair at the Salesian Family Spirituality Days: A Space of Encounter and Communion
The Aim of the Fair
The primary objective of the Lay Groups Fair was to foster knowledge of the origins of each Association and of the initial “sparks” that gave rise to experiences of communion within the Church and the Salesian Family. The Fair highlighted the human, spiritual, ecclesial, and social commitment that characterizes each group.
At the same time, it provided an opportunity to emphasize the most significant aspects of the lived charismatic experience and to present the projects and activities currently underway in different parts of the world.
Lay Groups Present
During the Fair, participants had the opportunity to meet and become more familiar with the following Salesian Family Lay Groups:
- Salesian Ladies Association (Damas Salesianas)
- Past Pupils of Don Bosco
- Past Pupils of Mornese of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians
- Volunteers of Don Bosco (VDB)
- ADMA Association (Association of Mary Help of Christians)

A Family Experience
The Fair proved to be a true confluence of communion, where the richness of the different lay vocations revealed the vitality of the Salesian charism in its many expressions. It was a valuable opportunity to strengthen the sense of belonging to the Salesian Family, rediscovering the shared call to live the Gospel in the spirit of Don Bosco, each according to his or her own vocation and mission.
