Spain – Don Bosco Award in Zaragoza: a showcase for school and scientific education

(ANS – Zaragoza) – The sports hall of the Salesian school in Zaragoza hosted the exhibition of projects for the 39th edition of the Don Bosco National Award, a showcase of educational, scientific and technological innovation in which students from different parts of Spain presented solutions to real challenges facing society. The exhibition brought together dozens of initiatives developed mainly by students from the formation and technological high schools addressing key issues such as sustainability, health, artificial intelligence, inclusion, mobility and social transformation. The central event of the Don Bosco Award once again brought together students, teachers, companies and institutions for a day dedicated to recognising the talent, innovation and commitment of the young participants in this technological research and development competition. This year’s award saw the participation of 40 finalist projects from 11 autonomous communities, involving 105 students and tutors from 29 educational institutions across Spain. These figures reflect the growing scope and consolidation of this educational competition. The Director of the Don Bosco Award, José Joaquín Coma, thanked all the participating centres, teachers and collaborating entities for their commitment, which makes this event possible year after year.
