(ANS – São Paulo) – The first meeting of the Provincial Council of the Salesian Youth Movement (SYM) was held on 7 and 8 March 2026 at the Provincial House of the Salesians of São Paulo Brazil Province (BSP). The initiative brought together 28 young representatives from different cities in the state for prayer, formation, sharing and planning of SYM activities. The meeting aimed to strengthen the articulation between the youth groups in Salesian works, promoting dialogue and the joint construction of paths for the youth mission. During the programme, participants reflected on the challenges and prospects that influence the growth of local groups, allowing for the exchange of experiences and the development of proposals that can contribute to the life and organisation of young people in Salesian presences. The SYM Council is made up of young people who take on the mission of strengthening the movement by promoting spaces for listening, dialogue and sharing among the groups.
