The event took place on 11 and 12 April 2026 at the Salesian centre in Pinar Quemado, near Jarabacoa, in an environment that combined academic formation, community experience and spirituality – distinctive elements of the Salesian educational model.

With this fourth cohort of graduates, the Salesian Communication School PLUS has trained a total of 299 young people, establishing itself as a key training initiative for young leaders serving as communicators in schools, parishes and youth centres.

During the programme, participants were trained in areas such as storytelling, strategic communication, branding, ethics, audiovisual narrative and digital ecosystems, and strengthened their skills to communicate with depth, responsibility and creativity in today’s environment. In his address, the Provincial Delegate for Social Communication, Fr Juan Pablo Abreu, highlighted the mission now undertaken by the young graduates, stating: “You have what our communities need”.

Rosaura Daniela Guzmán, representing the 73 graduates, called for communication to be lived as a service: “Let us continue to communicate with purpose, ethics and passion. Let us continue to be voices that build, unite and transform”.

The graduation ceremony included a Mass presided over by the Provincial of ANT, Fr José Pastor Ramírez, who urged the young people to deepen their vocation to communication, and challenged them: “Have the courage to move from the superficial to the essential”.

The “Salesian Communication School PLUS” has established itself over the years as a space that promotes communication with a clear identity, capable of educating, evangelising and transforming realities, in harmony with Don Bosco’s charism. This new cohort of graduates represents a generation of communicators called not only to inform, but to build meaning, community and hope, starting from an ethical and deeply human perspective.

Through this programme, the Salesian Province of the Antilles reaffirms its commitment to training communicators who, through their talent, respond to the current needs of the Church and society, interpreting communication as a true vocation of service.

With this step, the Salesian Province of the Antilles reaffirms its commitment to training communicators who, drawing on their talents, respond to the current needs of the Church and society, embracing communication as a true vocation of service.
