The meeting will be led by Fr Fidel Orendain, the General Councillor for Social Communication who will serve as one of the principal speakers. Through a series of key inputs, he will guide participants in rediscovering the heart of Salesian communication today. His sessions include themes such as “Communication Is Our Identity: Remaining Salesian in a World of Many Voices,” “Reframing Social Communication’s Identity and Role,” and “Crisis Management and Communication: The Salesian Way.”
AfriConnect 2026 is more than a meeting – it is a continental moment of communion, where voices, cultures, and experiences converge to renew the commitment to communicate with authenticity, creativity, and fidelity to the Salesian charism. As delegates prepare to gather in Nairobi, the event stands as a sign of hope and unity, reaffirming that communication is not merely a tool, but an essential dimension of the Salesian mission among young people today.
