(ANS – Rome) – From 1 to 3 June 2026, the meeting of the Directors of the Salesian Province of the Sacred Heart – Central Italy took place in Rome, at the Provincial House. These were intense days of fraternity, listening and discussion, experienced in a family atmosphere of shared responsibility, centred on some key themes for the Province’s journey. The programme began on Monday 1 June with some announcements from the Provincial regarding the Province’s journey and certain guidelines and initiatives undertaken in recent months. This was followed by an initial reflection on the relationship between the Local Council and the Educational-Pastoral Community Council. The main day, Tuesday 2 June, was marked by the great joy of having Fr Fabio Attard, Rector Major, present, who spent the whole day with the ICC Directors. His presence was received with gratitude and fraternal affection, as a precious gift for the Province and as a concrete sign of communion with the whole Congregation. On Wednesday 3 June, the meeting continued with a presentation by Fr Elio Cesari and Fabrizio Carletti from the “Emmaus Mission Study Centre” on the reorganisation of Salesian Italy. The final part of the proceedings was then devoted to the first draft of the provincial calendar and the provincial visits for 2026–2027. The meeting of the ICC Directors concluded with gratitude for the journey.
