The event was honored by the presence of Fr. Barnaba Le An Phong, the Provincial, the Fathers of the Provincial Council, and the Rectors of various Salesian communities and vocational training centers. Thanks to the encouragement and support from the Rectors, representatives from all four Salesian vocational schools gathered in full numbers despite geographical distances, reaffirming their role as the core force of the Past Pupils movement.

Day 1: Resting in the Lord and Fostering Brotherhood

The first day began with Eucharistic Adoration—the source of unity, love, and the spirit of service. The spiritual atmosphere was followed by a joyful Gong Festival. The traditional melodies and ethnic dances deeply enriched the Salesian family spirit and received enthusiastic participation from everyone.

The first day concluded with a simple yet profound Salesian Good Night thought by the Provincial Delegate, Fr. Joseph Đỗ Đức Dũng. The joy of the reunion extended into the evening as participants shared spiritual friendship and life stories with one another.

Day 2: Focusing on the Youth and Planning for the Future

Sunday (June 21) started with a solemn concelebrated Mass presided over by Fr. Nicola Kiều Long Hồ. Afterward, the Congress proceeded with essential administrative sessions: reviewing activity and financial reports, and discussing key objectives for the new term.

Key highlights of the second day included:

–         Promulgation of the Statute: The Congress officially announced the Statute of the Past Pupils and Friends of Don Bosco—a document approved by the Rector Major. The Statute was explained in detail by Fr. Delegate Joseph and officially handed over by Fr. Provincial Barnaba.

–         Listening to Youth Challenges: The assembly dedicated time to listening to feedback, paying special attention to the difficulties young people face today, and discussing practical solutions to accompany them.

The meeting proceeded with a strong sense of responsibility. Notably, the younger members showed great willingness to join the Executive Committee and courageously took on the responsibility of organizing the 7th Congress. Furthermore, the Congress expressed a deep desire for senior members to continue their guidance for another term.

The new Executive Committee of the Past Pupils Association for the 2026-2030 term was officially presented:

–         President: Joseph Nguyen Duc Le

–         Members: Nguyen Van Loc, Nguyen Quoc Phong, Tran Van Vinh, Tran Hoang Khoa, Nguyen Minh Anh Tuan.

–         Representatives: 04 members from the four Salesian vocational schools.

Returning to the Beloved Home

At noon on Sunday, the 6th Congress concluded with a warm, family-style farewell lunch. More than just an organizational meeting, the Congress was a precious opportunity for the sons and daughters of St. John Bosco to return to their beloved home. It was a truly meaningful time to gather, support one another, and reminisce, strengthening their commitment to spreading the Salesian charism.
