Philippines – Three novices have made their first religious profession as Salesians of Don Bosco
(ANS – Cebu) – On 24 June 2026, on the Solemnity of St John the Baptist, three novices from the Southern Philippines and Japan made their first religious profession as Salesians of Don Bosco during a ceremony held at the Shrine of St John Bosco the Dreamer. Fr Amelito Narciso Racelis, SDB, Superior of the Salesian Province of the Southern Philippines (FIS), welcomed the three novices – Christian Jude P. Baring, Mario G. Betinol Jr. and Naoki Dobashi – on behalf of the Rector Major. At the end of the celebration, the provincial himself presented the young Salesians with copies of the Salesian Constitutions and commemorative medals of St John Bosco, symbols of their commitment to embracing the charism and mission of the Congregation. The celebration concluded with a time of fellowship at the Don Bosco Formation Centre Pilgrim Hall, where members of the Salesian Family shared in the joy of the event and strengthened the spirit of communion promoted by Don Bosco.
