(ANS – Aleksandrów Kujawski) – On Sunday 21 June 2026, a thanksgiving celebration was held to mark the beatification of the Salesian martyrs, four of whom were associated with the Salesian work in Aleksandrów Kujawski. They were: Fr Ignacy Antonowicz – an educator and teacher at the local Salesian school; Fr Ignacy Dobiasz, who served as rector of the Salesian shool in Aleksandrów Kujawski; Fr Karol Golda, who worked there as a teacher and educator in the years leading up to the war; and Fr Kazimierz Wojciechowski, also an educator and spiritual director at the Salesian school. The Mass of Thanksgiving in the parish church of Mary Help of Christians was presided over by the new superior of the Salesian Province of Piła (PLN), Fr Jarosław Pizoń. This thanksgiving celebration was combined with another event, which began the day before, on 20 June: the Salesian Youth Days, which concluded with a joyful family festival, attracting numerous local residents, especially children, for whom a wide range of attractions had been organised.
