(ANS – Yaoundé) – On the afternoon of 24 June 2026, at the Provincial Headquarters of the Africa Tropical Equatorial (ATE) Province in Yaoundé, Cameroon, Fr. André Ela Enam was officially installed as the new Provincial for the next six years. He succeeds Fr. Roland Mintsa, who completed his six-year term (2020–2026). The Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Archbishop Emeritus Basile Mve of Libreville, a Salesian of Don Bosco, in the presence of members of the Salesian Family, young people, families, and the Regional Councillor for Africa Central-West, Fr. Alphonse Owoudou, who formally installed the new Provincial. Beyond the installation, the gathering marked a historic milestone for the circumscription: the official elevation of ATE from Vice-Province to Province, following the decree of the Rector Major, Fr. Fabio Attard, countersigned by the Secretary General of the Congregation. The celebration concluded with a joyful and fraternal evening gathering.
