(ANS – Shillong) – Fifteen Salesians of Don Bosco from various Indian Provinces were ordained deacons at Sacred Heart Theological College, Mawlai, in a solemn Eucharistic celebration presided over by Most Rev. John Moolachira, Archbishop of Guwahati, in the presence of Salesian Provincials, religious superiors, priests, and faithful. In his homily, the Archbishop reminded the newly ordained that their vocation is grounded in Christ’s call, not personal merit, urging them to become humble servants configured to Christ who “came not to be served but to serve.” The ordination marks a significant milestone in their journey toward priesthood, as they begin their ministry of the Word, the Altar, and Charity in service of the Church and especially the young and the poor.
