India – Mumbai Province: Salesian Communicators Strengthen the Digital Mission
(ANS – Mumbai) – Twenty-nine Social Communication Delegates of the Salesian Mumbai Province gathered on 1 July at the Provincial House, Matunga, for their annual meeting aimed at strengthening storytelling, ethical digital engagement and collaborative media ministry. Opening with prayer, Fr Mylin Noronha presented the Province’s communication vision, urging delegates to become effective narrators of the Salesian mission. Fr Joyston Machado highlighted Bosco Information Service as a living archive of evangelisation, encouraging deeper, impact-focused storytelling. Fr Leon Rodrigues described the digital world as a missionary space requiring authentic presence rooted in Salesian values. Fr Nathanel George stressed ethical discernment in online communication, promoting responsibility and truthfulness. Mr Joy Fernandes introduced the formation of Media Cells to enhance documentation, collaboration and digital outreach across the Province. Regional discussions helped shape practical strategies for stronger communication networks. The meeting concluded with renewed commitment to advancing the evangelising mission through responsible and creative digital engagement.
