(ANS – Cebu) – Families and communities from various religious institutes gathered on 6 July at the Maryville Subdivision Clubhouse in Tigbao, Talamban, for a Holy Hour inspired by Taizé and dedicated to prayer for vocations. The Holy Hour follows the Catholic tradition of spending an hour in prayer before the Blessed Sacrament. It includes repetitive songs, moments of silence and meditative prayer, encouraging participants to deepen their relationship with God through silent contemplation. This monthly devotion, organised by the Provincial House Community, fosters a spirit of prayer, unity and discernment amongst the participating communities. The Holy Hour also serves as a shared moment of prayer and discernment, inviting participants to spend an hour in the presence of Jesus Christ in the Blessed Sacrament, whilst offering prayers of intercession for an increase in religious vocations.
