Chhinchu, Nepal – January 2026 – The tiny tots of Don Bosco Chhinchu, Nepal observed Saraswati Puja, a day traditionally dedicated to seeking God’s blessings for wisdom and learning. Nursery students gathered reverently, offering prayers for themselves, their school bags, books, classrooms and school bus. The celebration was introduced by teacher Ms Shanti B.K, who explained the significance of the day to the children. Fr Augusty Pulickal, Director of the school, assisted by Fr Arulanand N., led the prayer service and blessed the children, staff and learning materials. The programme concluded with the sharing of traditional snacks. Opened in February 2021, Don Bosco Chhinchu is situated in the Western region of the country is the latest of the ten Salesian presences in Nepal. Twenty one Salesians of various Indian Provinces are serving in Nepal mostly engaged in the field of Pastoral, Educational and Social reach out programmes.
