(ANS – Golaghat) – An ICSSR-sponsored national seminar on Indian Knowledge Systems and Artificial Intelligence was organized by Don Bosco College Golaghat in collaboration with Furkating College on February 5–6. Held in hybrid mode, the seminar explored how artificial intelligence can align with India’s cultural, ethical, and spiritual traditions in the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047. Scholars and educators from across the country participated in focused discussions on cultural sensitivity, environmental ethics, spiritual growth, and ethical AI in education and religion. Eminent academicians, including Padma Shri awardee Jadav Payeng, chaired the technical sessions. The valedictory programme featured addresses by Fr. Lokho Alaye, SDB, and Prof. G. Singaiah, Vice Chancellor, BSSRV. Cultural performances highlighted India’s diversity. In total, 140 papers by 175 researchers from 96 institutions across 15 states were presented. Over 600 participants benefited from the deliberations. The seminar was widely appreciated for ethically integrating Indian Knowledge Systems with emerging AI technologies.
