(ANS – Mumbai) – 72 young people took part in a night-time procession organised by the Don Bosco Youth Services’ (DBYS) programme in Mumbai at the Don Bosco Yuva Sanstha in Karj. The darkness of midnight was illuminated by the light of faith as the young people gathered for an all-night spiritual journey called ‘Walk with Jesus,’ consisting of a richly animated Way of the Cross. After gathering at the Shrine of Mary Help of Christians in Matunga, the young people began their journey. During the Way of the Cross, upon reaching each station, the young people observed a brief moment of silence, which allowed them to reflect on the Passion of the Lord and on their own lives. Some young people volunteered to carry life-size wooden crosses and the crown of thorns during the ascent, thus identifying more intensely with the suffering of Christ during His Passion. Then, amid songs and prayers, the Way of the Cross ended with a special blessing with the Relic of the True Cross.
