(ANS – New Delhi) – In an inspiring display of compassion, teamwork and youth leadership, 43 members of the Samaritans Club turned a school’s Food Fest into a meaningful mission of service by raising funds for a fellow student battling acute leukaemia. Led by student leaders Nancy Barla and Vibuti Topno, the young Bosconians organised and ran 12 food stalls on the school campus, offering a variety of culinary delights to their fellow pupils. What set the initiative apart was the fact that every stage of the event – from planning and budgeting to sourcing, preparation and sales – was carried out entirely by the students themselves. Together, the Samaritans Club demonstrated the Salesian spirit of forming socially responsible and compassionate young people. The initiative not only showcased entrepreneurial skills and teamwork but also became a practical lesson in leadership, responsibility and selfless service. The gesture added a deeper humanitarian dimension to the event and reflects the students’ willingness to put the needs of others before their own interests.
