(ANS – Mumbai) – On 14 May 2026, a successful medical camp was organised in the village of Rendha, bringing much-needed medical care to people living in remote villages on the border between Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. The camp was organised thanks to the joint efforts of the Don Bosco Past Pupil Unit of Kawant and the Navalja Primary Health Centre, at the Ayushyaman Arogya Mandir in Rendha. The village of Rendha is situated on the outskirts of the Gujarat border and serves as a hub for many neighbouring villages where medical facilities and transport services are limited, especially during the summer season. Recognising the urgent need for accessible healthcare, DISHA Don Bosco, Kawant, took the initiative to organise this free medical service for the local population. The initiative was led by Dr Pankaj Rathwa, MBBS, together with the medical team from the Navalja Primary Health Centre, in the presence of Mr Hasmukh Christian, programme manager, along with staff members from DISHA Don Bosco, Kawant. Residents of Rendha village and the surrounding areas gathered at the camp to undergo medical examinations, consultations, and to receive treatment and medication.
