(ANS – Chennai) – Leaders from the various sectors of the Salesian Province of Chennai , India (INM) gathered on 21 June to take part in a planning and evaluation meeting aimed at strengthening youth ministry at provincial level. The meeting enabled the leaders to review last year’s youth programmes, assess their impact and set new priorities to meet the changing needs of young people. Fr Don Bosco Lourdusamy, INM Provincial, emphasised the need for a synodal approach to programme design and encouraged greater participation, collaboration and shared responsibility across all sectors in educational and pastoral planning. The Provincial then explained the simplified structure of youth ministry, appointing Fr Stalin Dhanaraj as Coordinating Delegate. The final session featured an interactive discussion among the heads of the departments and commissions. They discussed two topics: the programme and methodology for content design, and how the departments can support the sectors in fostering the holistic growth of young people.
