Savedi, India – January 2026 — Saint John Bosco Church was solemnly inaugurated and consecrated in Savedi, Ahmednagar, marking a historic moment for the parish community. The ceremony was presided over by Bishop Barthol Barretto of the Catholic Diocese of Nashik, in the presence of Fr Ashley Miranda, Provincial of the Mumbai Province, along with Salesian clergy, religious, and a large gathering of the faithful. The event crowned years of prayer, sacrifice, and sustained effort by the Salesians of Don Bosco, who have served the parish since its inception. Rooted in the charism of Saint John Bosco, the Salesians have focused on faith formation, education, and pastoral care, especially for the young. The completion of the church stands as a testament to community collaboration and trust in God’s providence. Special appreciation was extended to Parish Priest Fr Richard D’Silva for his leadership and tireless coordination throughout the project.
