(ANS – Golaghat) – In a commendable initiative combining education, health awareness and social engagement, the NSS Unit and the Department of History at Don Bosco College, Golaghat – affiliated with the University of Dibrugarh – organised a medical and health screening camp on 8 May 2026 to mark World Thalassaemia Day. The programme was conducted in collaboration with the ICMR Regional Medical Research Centre and the college’s IQAC on the college premises, under the theme “We care about your health”. The initiative aimed to promote preventive healthcare, early diagnosis and awareness regarding thalassaemia, anaemia, diabetes and general well-being among students, staff and residents.
