(ANS – Rome) – Fr Rafael Bejarano, General Councillor for Youth Ministry, in an interview with the Communications Office of Salesians for Social Issues, emphasises the strategic role of social works within the Salesian mission. ‘The commitment to the most vulnerable young people is not marginal, but an integral part of Don Bosco’s charism, as recognised by GC29. Today, “Salesians for Social” allows us to dialogue with the civil world using a language that can also be shared by those who do not belong to our religious tradition, without losing our charismatic identity.’
