(ANS – Matunga) – The Fr Bernard Fernandes Hall at Don Bosco’high school in Matunga hosted Salesian Family Day 2026 on 25 January. Numerous members of the Salesian Family, including Salesian Cooperators, ADMA and Past Pupils of the Don Bosco and Auxilium schools in the Salesian Province of Mumbai (INB), took part in the event with enthusiasm and zeal. The day was officially opened by Fr Robert Pen, Vice-Provincial of INB, who brought greetings from the Provincial, Fr Ashley Miranda. This was followed by a joyful celebration of the Eucharist and a presentation of the key outcomes of the 29th General Chapter, which will guide the province’s activities for the next six years. Fr Joyston Machado, with his characteristic humour, then spoke to those present on the theme of the Rector Major’s Strenna 2026, ‘Do whatever he tells you – Free believers to serve’. The day ended with some games organised by the Past Pupils and a heartfelt hymn of thanksgiving led by the Sisters of Mary Immaculate (SMI).
