(ANS – Barcelona) – On 3 and 4 March 2026, the Salesian house in Tibidabo hosted the meeting of the Mary Help of Christians Province, Spain’s Provincial Commission (SMX) for Social Education Platforms. The participants had time to pray, discern the present and future of ‘Salesianos Social’ and share their opinions in a spirit of fraternity. The formation session was inspired by the Rector Major’s Strenna for 2026, ‘Do whatever he tells you. Believers, free to serve’. ‘We proposed the project for the Formation Plan for the environment and how to implement the affective-sexual education programme. We made progress in defining all the skills required by our mission: charismatic, transversal and technical,’ said the participants at the meeting. This meeting laid the foundations for the strategic guidelines for future courses, starting with discernment on how to promote shared leadership that takes into great consideration care, formation in vocational identity and the protection (centrality) of the mission. In conclusion, the meeting was ‘another step in our commitment to be protagonists in history and to enable those we serve to become protagonists too’.
