Italy – Missioni Don Bosco Valdocco becomes a Third Sector Entity (ETS)

The Third Sector refers to the body of private organisations established for the non-profit pursuit of civic, solidarity-based and socially beneficial aims and which, in accordance with the principle of subsidiarity and in line with their respective statutes or articles of association, promote and carry out activities of general interest through voluntary and unpaid action, mutual aid, or the production and exchange of goods and services (Law No. 106 of 6 June 2016).

The education, training and social inclusion of young people are fully included among the activities of general interest provided for by the Third Sector Code. Since the first missionary departure in 1875, the commitment of Don Bosco’s missionaries has been based on a focus on the individual: every boy, every girl and every young person supported is first and foremost a person, with unique needs, vulnerabilities and talents. Through educational support and daily presence, Missioni Don Bosco accompanies each child and young person on their journey of growth, offering practical tools to build their future.

The registration of Missioni Don Bosco Valdocco ETS with the RUNTS allows those who support the mission of the Procuracy through donations to continue to benefit from tax relief and to allocate their 5×1000. All donations made via payment methods such as credit card, PayPal, Satispay, bank transfer, postal account payment slip, cheque and postal order are, in fact, eligible for tax relief.

In this way too, through careful organisational structuring and timely updates in line with current regulatory frameworks, Missioni Don Bosco demonstrates its commitment to being at the forefront of its mission, always directing its actions towards supporting missionaries and providing holistic care for the most vulnerable young people.
