(ANS – Fátima) – On Saturday, 9 May 2026, the Shrine of Our Lady of Fátima provided a deeply meaningful setting for a special Rosary celebration commemorating the 150th anniversary of the founding of the Association of Salesian Cooperators. The event brought together pilgrims and numerous members of the Salesian Family in a heartfelt expression of Marian devotion and gratitude. The meditations for the Rosary were prepared by Rosa Mateus, Provincial Coordinator of the Salesian Cooperators in Portugal. Rich in spiritual depth, the reflections were firmly rooted in both Salesian and Marian spirituality. The celebration was presided over by Fr Tarcízio Morais, Provincial of the Salesians of Don Bosco in Portugal. In his remarks, he underscored the vital role of the laity in the life and mission of the Church, emphasizing in particular the enduring relevance of the Salesian Cooperators in ensuring the continuity and vitality of Don Bosco’s charism in today’s world. The Rosary was broadcast live by Canção Nova and carried by several radio stations, including Rádio Salesiana, enabling a wide audience to join spiritually in this significant commemorative moment.
