Among the superiors present were the Provincial of ICP – Fr Leonardo Mancini; the Superior of the UPS Vice/Province – Fr José Aníbal Mendonça; and the Vice-Provincials of ICC and IME (Fr Daniele Merlini and Fr Tome Mihaj). Also present was a representative of the Provincial of LKC, Fr Sushith Milroy, a PhD candidate at UPS. On 8 June, there was an online session summarising the work carried out the previous Saturday, attended by 18 Provincials and delegates. It was an opportunity not only to present a summary of the session on 6 June but also to open a discussion on some common themes. The journey towards interculturalism within the community is facilitated by various initiatives through which one learns about the culture of other members of the community. There are, for example, the continental weeks towards the start of the community year, during which each continent (Oceania is missing) presents its culture through a Eucharistic celebration, various decorations in the community and their specific dishes, during a well-organised dinner. There are also other occasions, such as the Cultural Café, where aspects such as the music and art of certain countries are highlighted. In this community, strong friendships have developed among the confreres over the years, friendships that endure over time, even though they are now in different communities. Another very interesting feature of this Curatorium is that it is attended by a good number of young Salesians, especially during the early part of the morning. These are the coordinators of the course groups and those of the animation groups. The latter presented the Curatorium with a brief summary of the activities carried out during the year in various areas, along with an evaluation, a contribution that was greatly appreciated both by those attending in person and by those who joined online on Monday 8 June.
