(ANS – Naples) – On 25 April 2026, the Don Bosco centre in Naples experienced a truly special moment: the opening of its new premises. It was a busy day, full of faces, smiles and profound meaning. The morning was graced by the presence of the Councillor for the Mediterranean Region, Fr Juan Carlos Pérez Godoy, the Salesian Provincial of Southern Italy, Fr Gianpaolo Roma, the Director of “Don Bosco” in Naples, Fr Fabio Bellino, and numerous Salesians from Southern Italy, Albania, Kosovo and Montenegro. From the tour of the refurbished spaces – the chapel, the murals, the teaching kitchen, the formation centre and the oratory – right through to the performance of A Dream in the Courtyard” the real stars, however, were the young people, with their energy, creativity and enthusiasm for the future. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was particularly moving: a shared gesture between representatives of the project management, educators, Salesians and young people, a concrete symbol of a community that grows together, day by day. The final celebration marked the culmination of a morning that was not merely an opening event but the beginning of a new phase: renewed spaces to continue educating, welcoming and accompanying young people through beauty and hope.
