Madrid, Spain – January 2026 – From 19 to 21 January, Casa Don Bosco hosted meetings for the Pedagogical Directors of the Nursery-Primary School, Secondary-Upper Secondary School and Vocational Formation of Spain’s St James the Greater Province (SSM). All participants reflected on the educational context of the province in order to propose a more agile and modern organisation. These proposals, together with other concrete actions, will be included in a new strategic plan currently being developed. They also shared positive and negative aspects of the current academic year, reviewed formation activities and offered suggestions for the future. Two important topics of shared reflection were the process of digitisation in schools and the use of Artificial Intelligence. It is worth noting that the UNESCO Green Schools Quality Standard was also presented, and students were asked to read this document throughout the year to explore potential areas for improvement in Salesian schools in the coming years. Another topic of discussion was the analysis of a study on the factors that influence families’ school choices today.
