Naples, Italy – January 2026 – On January 26, Fr. Juan Carlos Pérez Godoy, Councillor for the Mediterranean Region, officially began the Extraordinary Visit to the Salesian Province of Southern Italy (IME). During a meeting with the Provincial Council, led by Provincial Fr. Gianpaolo Roma, an overview of the Salesian presence in Southern Italy and in the Provincial Delegation of AKM (Albania, Kosovo, Montenegro) was presented. The report outlined the mission’s geographical distribution, pastoral and educational sectors, planning timeline, statistics, and future projections. Fr. Pérez Godoy will visit Salesian communities until July to gain deeper insight into the mission across the different realities of the IME Province.
