(ANS – Santeramo in Colle) – Santeramo in Colle was decked out in colours, music and enthusiasm for the 57th Children’s Carnival, the historic event promoted by the Salesian Oratory which, year after year, continues to be one of the most eagerly awaited and distinctive events in the area. Three major parades are scheduled – on 8, 15 and 17 February – for an event that is confirmd not only as a moment of celebration, but also as an authentic community experience, capable of combining tradition, creativity and educational values in the Salesian spirit that has always distinguished it. Recognised by the Puglia Region as one of the historical events of great tourist and cultural importance, the Children’s Carnival is now a regional event, the result of the constant commitment of the organising committee, the support of institutions and the enthusiastic participation of volunteers, families and sponsors. On Sunday 8 February, the first, eagerly awaited parade took place, officially kicking off the carnival celebrations in the city. Over 1,200 children from schools, parishes and associations in Santeramo brought the streets to life with overwhelming enthusiasm, accompanied by teachers and parents on a day of joy, colour and creativity.
