(ANS – Catania) – On 23 February 2026, a formation meeting and discussion was held between those in charge of oratories and youth centres and parish priests of the works of the Salesian Congregation of Don Bosco in the Province of Sicily, Italy (ISI). The Provincial, Fr Domenico Saraniti, opened the proceedings with an intense and engaging report on Salesian pastoral care, urging those present to rediscover and authentically live the mystagogy of the courtyard and apostolic activity as the heart of the educative and pastoral mission. This was followed by discussion and sharing on the Animators’ Formation Plan, currently being developed by the Salesian Youth Movement: a programme designed to accompany and form animators in their human, spiritual and Salesian growth, listening to the educational challenges of the present time.
