Spain – The “JuanSoñador” Foundation in Valladolid celebrates its 25th anniversary

(ANS – Valladolid) – The “JuanSoñador” Foundation in Valladolid celebrated its 25th anniversary with an event held on Tuesday 5 May 2026. The gathering brought together representatives from the public administration, social organisations, collaborating companies, partners and the Salesian Family to celebrate the foundation’s journey and renew its commitment to people in vulnerable situations. The celebration began with an address by Esperanza Vázquez Boyero, Head of Social Services for the Government of the Autonomous Community of Castile and León, who expressed her gratitude for the work carried out by the JuanSoñador Foundation in Castile and León and praised the collaboration and coordination with all social organisations; She then expressed the hope that this work, this collaboration and this commitment might continue for many years to come. Next to speak was Fr José Carlos Sobejano, Provincial of the Salesian Province of Spain’s St James the Greater Province (SSM), who highlighted JuanSoñador’s work in “sowing hope and social justice, acting not out of pity or compassion, but out of a profound sense of human dignity”. Finally, Natalia Sanz Jiménez, Director of the foundation in Valladolid, took the floor, opening a space for gathering and shared celebration, conceived as an opportunity to reflect on the organisation’s history, express gratitude for the support received, and continue to build upon it, together with all those who have been part of these 25 years.
