During 2025, the Foundation assisted 950 direct beneficiaries and 580 families through integrated programmes focused on technical and vocational formation, psychosocial support, education and the promotion of rights. This intervention was developed in priority areas such as Monte Sinaí, Socio Vivienda 2, Isla Trinitaria, Bastión Popular, Vía Daule and neighbouring areas, where the Salesian institution maintains an active and constant presence.
The social work carried out responds to complex realities identified in the areas of intervention. Among the main conditions of vulnerability identified is the fact that 36.72% of families live in informal settlements; 22.81% are considered vulnerable due to their Afro-descendant status; 12.07% are unemployed or not in the process of professionalisation; 8.77% are behind in school; and 8.96% are single mothers and fathers.
These data highlight the need to strengthen social inclusion processes, the creation of opportunities and comprehensive support – all actions that the Foundation promotes with a preventive and educational approach, inspired by the Salesian charism.
The presentation of the 2025 Report took place at the headquarters of the Salesian Polytechnic University (UPS) in Guayaquil and was attended by authorities, cooperators and strategic partners. For its part, the Foundation expressed its gratitude to the Sacred Heart of Jesus Province of Ecuador (ECU), the UPS and national and international cooperators, whose constant commitment makes it possible to support and expand this social work.
The 2025 Report presented not only quantitative results but also stories of overcoming adversity and processes of transformation that reflect the human impact of a mission committed to respecting the dignity of all beneficiaries and to the education and integral development of those most in need.
