The two Salesians were welcomed at Nsimalen International Airport by the ATE Superior, Fr Roland Mintsa, and members of the Provincial Council. They then moved to the Provincial House, located in the heart of the Cameroonian capital, Yaoundé. Here, they were awaited by the Salesians of the community and young people who had come to express their joy at their presence.
Monday, 23rd February was marked by two significant events. First, Fr Bejarano and Fr Matsoumbou met with the Provincial Council to learn more about the reality of youth ministry in the Vice-Province and to discuss, more generally, the guidelines and vision of youth ministry within the Congregation, which should serve as a guideline for every Salesian province.
Secondly, the General Councillor and Fr Matsoumbou were accompanied to the St Augustine Theologate in Nkol’Afeme. During their brief stay at the Theological College, the day was marked by various activities: the welcome ceremony, a meeting with the formators of the Theological College, a guided tour of the house, a meeting with the entire community, the Eucharistic celebration presided over by Fr Bejarano, and a moment of fraternity to conclude the day. In conclusion, it was a day of authentic sharing and Salesian joy.
